2019 – Sponsored the distribution to medical libraries across the country of  Chinese medicine classic Ye Tianshi’s Clinical Guideline to Medical Cases – translated by Jerome Jiang with Lorraine Wilcox, published by CMDB.

2017-2018 – Initiated support of to produce a documentary on Tibetan Medical and Religious Approaches to Death and Dying, in collaboration with Tibetan doctor Tenzin Namdul who is currently a PhD Candidate at the  department of anthropology at Emory University.  The creative director of this project will be Terrence Youk, who produced “Pioneers of Hospice”.

2017-2018 – Initiated support of the non-profit Altruism in Medicine which is led by Dr. Barry Kerzin.  Specifically our Institute will be underwriting a project of online Virtual Meditative Retreats’ using Eastern meditative techniques such as mindfulness in a digital format featuring programs with specific themes (e.g. Pain & Consciousness, Silencing Fear & Anxiety etc) for medical professionals and patients alike. These retreat modules will be professionally recorded and edited. (See here)

2016-2017 – Support of New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care and their accredited training programs to offer training to healthcare professionals in Eastern contemplative and spiritual practices in clinical care so they in turn can care for the griefing and dying in mindful and compassionate ways in hospitals, hospices and other healthcare settings.

2016-2017 – Sponsorship of Brook Hollow Productions to complete the “Sustainable Herb Project” by Terrence Youk and Anne Armbrecht with the intent to  follow traditional Ayurvedic medicinal plants from their point of origin through the supply chain to the consumers in the West. In addition to bringing this supply chain to life with stories from collectors, processors, traders and finished-product producers, the sponsored interactive website will document what it takes to produce high-quality Ayurvedic herbal supplements for the West and outline the challenges to quality, sustainability and equity in the botanical industry.
